Playing and Winning the Game You're Built 4 PLRK!Shop™
(PLRK!™ where play and work blend so well, it all feels like playing)
There are two questions to answer about How the Game Plays:
1. How you play - which means how you get involved in the game when it's offered.
2. How the Game itself is played when you're experiencing one of the Rounds.
Well, first moves first so...
The simplest answer for How YOU Play is follow these steps:
- Sign up for a game
- Pay the entry fee
- Receive a ticket
- Pick a topic for your game to be focused on (health, money, relationships, a special project, sales, etc.)
- Answer this question: “Given that we’re all going to die, how do you want to experience your life on a daily basis between now and then?” (we mean the attributes of an experience not the events).
- Come to the game
- Play full out and Have fun
That’s how YOU play. So here’s a little more information on how the Game plays during the two days of Round 1 (you have to get the basics before playing Round 2 and Round 3)
- You show up
- You sign in
- You get a name tag
- You pick up your playbook
- You pick a seat (open seating)
- You play, watch, chime in, listen, contribute, muse, laugh (occasionally), noodle on stuff, write in your playbook as needed or wanted, reflect, and play games with the other ‘kids’ until the game is over.
- And, at appropriate times you take a bio break, half-time food break, or just time out and pause playing.
Lastly, there are a number of ways in which each of the basic elements can be delivered. It will be a completely intuitive game as what to play, when and how to address the element. In addition to the 7 basic elements there are 6 ‘your move’ elements to be played that are also possible to experience in a multiplicity of formats. This makes the game unpredictable and absolutely unique, each and every time it’s played. The experiences that juggle themselves around all the elements are:
- Games
- Exercises
- Processes
- Videos
- Music
- Sharing
- Game Accelerations (kind of like coaching only better)
- Practice
- Journaling (capturing important stuff you think about or notice)
- Stories
- Coloring/Drawing
And they are all potentially experienced in:
- Solo
- Dyads
- Triads
- Groups of 4-5
- The Full group at once
You can see that the possibilities of those combinations are endless (well maybe not actually endless but, one mathematician who came said that the ‘your move’ section had 10 to the 27th number of permutations, which doesn’t even include all the variations of numbers of people involved and the 7 basic elements. That’s a lot).
Which makes it kind of like life doesn’t it?
So Come Play!

Chronology of The Game Of…™
2000
The Game Of…™ was first played in June of 2000 as ‘The
Game of Your Business’ with the New Jersey Professional Coaches
Association. It began with my own curiosity about how it
would be to create your business as a Game.
2001
It was next
presented in its slimmed down version in Sydney, Australia in August 2001 where
it was received with great enthusiasm. This led to more development
and the Game Of…™ resurfaced in its current multiple
use form. It’s been flowing ever since.
